Age restriction is 12 years or older.

It is recommended that you do not only use power mode.

Battery consumption varies greatly from person to person.
It is physically easier if you pedal your bicycle slowly and go up hills slowly, but by doing so, battery consumption will increase.

The harder you pedal and the faster you go, the less battery you will use.
The amount consumed also varies depending on the weight of the rider.

We recommend doing your best in eco mode and only use automatic mode when extra support is needed.

The distance from Okuhida Base to Tatamidaira and Kamikochi is about 20 km.
There is a height difference of about 1,500m to Tatamidaira, and the slope continues all the way.
Also, the height difference to Kamikochi is about 750m, and you have to go over it on your way back, which consumes a lot of battery power.

The Hirayu Pass up to the Hirayu Pass Gate of Norikura Skyrun is particularly steep.
The return trip from Tatamidaira is mostly downhill, so there is no problem even if you don’t have a battery.
Also, if you cross Awa Pass from Kamikochi, the rest is downhill, so you should be fine as long as you can get there.

If you wish to use power mode, we recommend that you bring a spare battery.
Spare batteries will cost an additional 1,000 yen/day.

The manufacturer’s recommended weight for e-bikes is 98.2 kg including luggage.

There is no problem with returning the bike the next day.
However, if you are renting for 2 days, you will need to make reservations and payments twice (one per each day) due to system reasons.
When making a reservation, please apply for a vehicle with the same number (e.g. e-bike003) for both days.
Also, please unplug the charger in the locker before using it.
Please use it when charging at your hotel etc.

Please proceed with the number of users set to 1, add one bicycle to the cart, then select another bicycle and add it to the cart again.

After adding the bicycle to the cart, set the e-bike rental to 0 and spare battery to 1 under the number of users, then select one spare battery and add it to the cart.

Wearing a helmet is mandatory, so we would appreciate it if you would consider wearing a helmet for your safety.

Batteries, helmets, and chargers are in the locker. It can be opened with a separate key attached to your bicycle lock. When returning the device, please return it to the locker and place the battery in the charger.

Vehicles are rented on a daily basis, so please make reservations for the number of days you need. If you are able to manage your vehicle properly, there is no need to return it to Okuhida base every day. Please also bring a charger.

If you plan to use it for a long time or for several days, please also bring a charger. When returning the device, please return it in the locker like batteries etc.

Once you proceed to the credit card payment screen, a provisional reservation will be made. The reservation will be canceled after 30 minutes, so please wait 30 minutes and then proceed with your reservation from the calendar again. Or, if another vehicle is available, please reserve it.

You will need to download the LUUP app. Please download and use it.

Available to people over 16 years old

No driver’s license required. However, please follow the driving rules when using the service.

You can return the LUUP freely between the ports listed below.
Currently, the ports are located at Hirayu Onsen Okuhida Base and Fukuji Onsen Okuhida Banbakan

Wearing a helmet is mandatory, but we would appreciate it if you would consider wearing a helmet for your safety.

After starting your ride, you can temporarily lock and park your aircraft
STEP1）Lock the aircraft using the LUUP app
Tap “Temporary Stop” at the top of the map screen and lock the aircraft.
STEP2）Temporarily stopped
Charges will apply even when the vehicle is temporarily stopped.
STEP3）Unlock the key and resume riding
Tap “Unlock” at the top of the map screen to unlock the aircraft. Make sure the key is unlocked and resume riding.

*Temporary parking is prohibited in areas where parking is not permitted.
Unattended parking violations are subject to penalties. Please do not park on public roads, but only temporarily in a place where parking is permitted, such as a parking space for bicycles or motorcycles.

The journey from Hirayu Onsen to Fukuchi Onsen is downhill, so it takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
The journey from Fukuchi Onsen to Hirayu Onsen is uphill, so it takes about 25 to 30 minutes.

It is not possible to go to these places with a LUUP. Please use the local bus.

You can ride on the slopes in the Okuhida area with LUUP. However, the driving speed on uphill slopes is about 6 to 15 km/h.
Also, please note that going downhill is dangerous because it is easy to speed up. Always drive slowly while applying the brakes.

Although it varies depending on usage conditions such as weather and weight, from Hirayu Onsen, a round trip to Tochio Onsen and Michi-no-Eki Okuhida can be made. From Fukuji Onsen, you can make a round trip to Shinhotaka Ropeway. Additionally, battery performance may deteriorate in late fall and early spring due to low temperatures.

Basically, it should be okay.
However, depending on usage conditions, the battery may run out. Please bring the AC adapter (power cord) found on or around the vehicle.
If necessary to charge the LUUP again, please obtain permission from the shop owner at a restaurant or tourist spot and charge your bicycle while it is parked.
Additionally, battery performance may deteriorate in late fall and early spring due to low temperatures.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but please charge it with the AC adapter (power cord) or push it back to the port. Please be careful not to run out of electricity. There will be a pick up fee if the LUUP cannot make it back to the port.
Estimated rescue cost: 5,000 yen to 30,000 yen (varies depending on rescue location and situation)

It is not possible to use LUUP in the winter. The business period is from April to November. Please do not use the facility during periods of snowfall or snowfall, even during business hours.

The Okuhida area is a mountainous region with an altitude of approximately 700 to 1,300 meters. Even in summer, we recommend wearing clothes that do not allow wind to pass through. In early spring and late fall, we recommend wearing warm clothing that prevents wind from passing through both the top and bottom, as well as gloves.
Also, if it is very cold, it is recommended to reduce your speed and drive slowly.
